Filk Signal boosting - Filk History Book crowdsourcing.Ends in a couple of days.

The filk history book that madfilkentist is working on is currently in its last week of funding.  (Ends in a few days.)

He is about 78% of the way there.  He has posted a 3rd sample chapter (in addition to the two previous he shared when the fundraising started.)
The 3rd sample chapter covers from 1979 thru 1988 from Filkcon 1 to the disintegration of Off Centaur.

I have contributed a number of digital scans to the source material for Madfilkentist and am continuing to scan my collection.   (So far, he has gotten a full set of "PFen" and "The Filking Times".  I have a number (not a complete set) of Kantele and a few Philk Philly Phlashes on hand and have arranged to borrow a number of Apa-Filks to contribute to the source materials for the history book.

I really want to see this free book funded and from the little he has shared so far, its been very interesting.

Edit 9/29 - The book has funded!  Yea!  Now to see if we get a couple of the stretch  goals.

It's now up to 98%, thanks to a couple of very generous contributors from Denver, and it looks as if I've just taken on a songbook project that I'm really looking forward to.

I'll add some stretch goals shortly.

I saw! That is great news. I have some filkzines that I need to get back to scanning for you. (A few short runs that I don't have more issues from and some other promised zines.)

BTW, why do people keep saying "crowdsourcing" instead of "crowdfunding"? I'm talking to lots of people in my research, but crowdsourcing means having a bunch of people directly contributing content. The crowdsourcing project (for filk recordings) is a different one.
