2012 Hugo ballot - Filk on it!

Congratulations to the 2012 Hugo nominies!  

Including seanan_mcguire with her 4 nominations - Novel, Novella, fancast and best related for her wonderful CD "Wicked Girls".  I think this is the only the second time a filk item has been on the ballot.  (Filkers have been on there and won before, but never for a filk related item.  (They have won for fanzines and and books they have written.))

I look forward to seeing the 2012 hugo ceremony in Chicago.  (I want to see Seanan go home with at least one of the hugo awards.)

1984 Fanzine - Filknominom (it lost). And I know I did not spell that correctly.

I think it's wonderful to have filk not only on the ballot but with a good chance - it's Seanan, after all! And the CD is so good.

Seanan says it's the first time a woman has been on a single Hugo ballot four times.

According to Diane Lacey, who is on the Hugo Awards Committee, the only others to have done it are Michael Swanwick and Mike Resnick.
