NEFilk 2016 CD.... Burning away...

Its that time of the year again for me....  Less than a week before the NEFilk convention and I am burning the NEFilk CD for the convention.

I will be posting the j-card information (which includes recordings of the 2017 guests for Contata 8 (NEFilk 27) over next weekend, after Conterpoint has started.)

16 songs from 3 different countries.   I was not able to get a memorial track for one person (and yes, I did try reaching the family but got not response. :( If they respond with permission, I will include their song in the 2017 CD.)

At least all of the permissions came in early this year.  (Reminder for next year - start earlier than mid May.)

Also, I want to publiclly thank filkferengi, fringefan, and otherdeb for their proofreading assistance, again this year.  Its always appreciated and the j-cards and CD labels would not be as good without their advice.  (And a lot more errors would make it into the final project.)

Update 12:40a Tuesday morning...
CDs are done.  (duplicated and labeled).  Onto the inserts tomorrow night, along with the digital upload and generation of download codes.  Assembly will be onsite by volunteers.  (See me friday morning if you would like to help put together 150 CDs for everyone.)

J-card? I thought that was for cassettes (because of the shape, wrapping around the cassette). I once used that term for a CD insert and got a blank look in response.

Its the CD insert. I just used the name interchanably. I figure most filkers know what I am referring to. (And if not, its a term I can teach someone.)

In the mean time, the duplication is done. Yea! Off for a break and then labeling begins.
