A couple of weeks ago, I posted about a kickstarter project that I want to see happen. Filker Gary McGath is trying to get enough funds together to get a book on digital archiving published. He is talking about ways to preserve your data, so that it WILL last for future generations.
And from the previous post -
Gary McGath is writing a book on digital preservation. It is
scheduled to be published as an ebook and is for the average user vs the
academic fields.

This
is one of those resources that I want to take advantage of and make
sure I am preserving tapes that I am converting in the best format
possible.
Also, Gary's blog on the kickstarter project
including a song about the project (day 8) in mp3 and lossless .wav
format for digital preservation -

Update 1/16 - The project reached its goal and funded!
