Contata 2011
Jul. 5th, 2011 02:09 amI got home a few hours ago (via my parents house for dinner.)
Just a quick note for now...
The convention was good and a lot of fun. Major thank yous to Spencer Love and Joe Kesselman who assisted with running sound and making it so that everyone had a good time! I could not have done it without your help.
More details when I have time (a day or two from now), including track listing for the CDs I published for the convention. (Fanac, Dark Deeds & Desperate Men (and Women). There were 4 new CDs at the convention that I know of and got copies of.)

Roberta Rogow's Dark Deeds & Desperate Men (and Women) CD. Its a mystery songs themed CD which includes a cover of Been There, Dun That performed by Juanita Coulson. (I know I emailed you about permissions before it went to press and I will be getting the contributor copies out sometime this week.)

Date: 2011-07-06 06:06 am (UTC)I just put the CD into my laptop and it found the tracks in iTunes. Thank you for doing that. I never entered the tracks into the computer. Did I ever say thank you for your help on getting this CD done and out?

Date: 2011-07-06 01:55 pm (UTC)See if you can trigger it to check for song lists now and if it turns up.
I did put the CD in on my mac and I know the track names were not encoded in the CD info. (Wrong burning program.)

Date: 2011-07-10 05:06 pm (UTC)It just came up in registered Winamp for Fanac. I am testing Windows Media Player next.
I think I found the problem.... The server that Windows Media Player points at is not gracenote, but "fai.music.metaservices.microsoft.com". (Don't you just "love" a company that can't use the main database that most other programs use and forces you to enter the SAME data 3 times over... (My CD ripping program uses 3rd CDDB service.)
It looks like we have to add it to a 3rd database when producing an album. (Testing with Fanac.)
